Alice Schille (1869-1955) was one of the finest watercolour artists of her time. Born in Columbus, OH, she studied in New York and Paris, influenced by progressive art movements. Afterwards she travelled the world, painting still-lifes, landscapes and gardens, mothers and children, market and harbour scenes.
