Dr. Davidson's passion for photography is evident. The brief text was as interesting as the photographs were compelling. To me, some went beyond compelling to stunning. A few examples are his "Rockport Harbor," "Ultra Orthodox Boys" in Israel, "Ring of Kerry" in Ireland, "Old San Juan," and several more. The way he photographs stone is splendid--one can almost feel the texture. Many of his work have haunting subtlety, such as "Hut of Brendan the Navigator" and "Schonbrun Palace, Vienna." His portraits also succeed as intimate studies of character.
