In this film, I am going to show you how I take a simple marker sketch and put it in the Photoshop and help to better to find the shape. Better to find where the light?s coming from and give you a result such as the one on the screen.

So once we are happy with the sketch,

Is to start,

What I like to is scan it, so that I have a file. So I always have that on file and the, I play around with it a little bit in the Photoshop.

And now we have got this initial sketch on the computer.

Take it in the Photoshop and,

Make just clean it up a bit. Erase some of these lines.

That is okay.

So we are going to start with this and,

You can get rid off all the white.

And have all the black lines on their own layer,

And now, we are going to have a color layer so,

Just a quickly demonstrate,

We should follow these lines,

The outline, okay,

Now, we are going to choose a color,

Give it a base,

And then, wherever that light hits it,

Let us say lights coming from here in this direction,

So you are going to have certain highlights,

And this is going to be highlighted right here,

Did not work too well,

And highlight over here,

And then we are going to make certain areas darker,

Not that dark,

Start to give it a 3 dimensional look,

And what this does is really better help to define what the actual shape is. How the lights going to affect it,

That is pretty much it,

Now, this is what I do so that I have got my design saved,

I got the basic idea that I am going for,

Again, it does not have to be neat. Does not to be perfect because it is just an idea,

And that is it.
