Michroma font family

Michroma is an innovative reinterpretation of the rounded-square sans genre, capturing the essence of a futuristic 1960s aesthetic. This style draws inspiration from the iconic Microgramma, designed by Aldo Novarese and Alessandro Buttiin in 1952, which laid the groundwork for this genre. Ten years later, Novarese’s Eurostile further popularized these design elements, making them a staple in modern typography.

Designed by Vernon Adams, Michroma features character widths and stem weights that are optimized for today’s digital screens. This careful attention to detail ensures that the font looks great without the need for manual hinting, delivering clear and crisp text across various devices.

The Mai 2023 update enhances Michroma with a larger glyph set and subtle aesthetic adjustments, making it an even more versatile choice for designers.
