New Year Fireworks Text Effect

Want to make text that looks like it's written with sparklers? Here's how.

In this tutorial, you'll create custom brushes and apply them along text paths to get that fireworks effect. We'll also use Layer Styles to add a glow that makes the text look like it's actually lit up.

This Photoshop text effect works great for New Year graphics, celebration posters, party invitations, and holiday designs. The techniques you'll learn—custom brush creation, path stroking, and layer styling—are useful beyond just this project and will help you create all kinds of light-based effects.

The technique is easier than it looks and takes about 30 minutes once you get the hang of it.
